The Department of Electronics and
Communication Engineering at Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) proudly
offers the B.E. Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) programme,
designed to prepare students for careers in the rapidly evolving global
semiconductor industry. The programme combines a strong foundation in
electronics with specialized knowledge in VLSI design, semiconductor devices,
chip fabrication, ASIC/FPGA development, verification, and Electronic Design
Automation (EDA) tools.
Aligned with the Government of India's India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), the programme supports the nation's vision of building a globally competitive semiconductor ecosystem by developing highly skilled engineers for chip design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, and semiconductor research. The mission aims to establish India as a global hub for semiconductor innovation, manufacturing, and talent development.
