The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), instituted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, provides a nationally recognized mechanism for assessing the performance of higher education institutions. Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) has been an active participant in this framework, demonstrating its sustained commitment to academic quality, research advancement, and student success. 

Performance in the Engineering Category

Since 2018, CIT has consistently featured in the NIRF Engineering rankings, reflecting balanced performance across the five evaluation dimensions prescribed by NIRF: Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR); Research and Professional Practice (RPC); Graduation Outcomes (GO); Outreach and Inclusivity (OI); and Perception (PR).
