Research and Development Cell
The Research and Development Cell of Coimbatore Institute of Technology plays a vital role in promoting research, innovation, and academic excellence within the institution. The cell functions under the leadership of the Dean (R&D), Dr. N. K. Karthikeyan, who guides and coordinates the research initiatives of faculty and students. It encourages interdisciplinary research and supports scholars in undertaking innovative projects.
The R&D Cell assists faculty members in identifying and applying for research grants from various government funding agencies and industry sectors. It facilitates collaboration with national and international research organizations and actively promotes publications, patents, and technology development activities. Workshops, seminars, and training programs are organized regularly to enhance research capabilities. It also serves as a central platform for managing funded projects and research documentation, while motivating students to participate in research-oriented activities and strengthening the institute’s commitment to knowledge advancement.
