M.Sc. Decision and Computing Sciences
The Department of Decision and Computing Sciences,
established in 2017, has been offering an innovative 5-year integrated M.Sc.
Decision and Computing Sciences Programme designed to meet modern industry
demands. The programme combines strong foundations in computing, analytics, and
managerial principles for holistic development. Its curriculum effectively
integrates Technology and Management to prepare students for dynamic business
environments. The course is ideal for both Science and Commerce students who
aspire to build careers in emerging digital domains. Students gain practical
exposure through projects, internships, and industry-oriented learning methods.

Department of Computing endeavors to make the students, world class software engineers, data scientists and decision makers with prudence of pioneering the solutions to the challenges of the nation and the world.
Mission
- M1: To impart sound conceptual knowledge along with intensive practical training and real-time industry and research project exposure to students.
- M2: To provide a learning environment that enhances innovation, problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, team spirit, and ethical responsibility.

THINKATHON: A Design Thinking Workshop & Ideathon Challenge
THINKATHON 2026 was organized by the Department of Computing, M.Sc. Decision and Computing Sciences, CIT, in association with IIC and 403 Strats Club, engaging 45 teams from Classes IX–XII. The event combined a Design Thinking Workshop with an Ideathon Challenge, enabling participants to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems while strengthening creativity, collaboration, and analytical thinking.

CSR Connect: SustaInnovate 2025 – Poster Presentation Competition
This Competitive Poster Presentation event was organized to promote sustainability and innovation, This event attracted 60 registrations, with 11 shortlisted teams presenting innovative poster-based solutions to environmental challenges. The competition encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and effective presentation of sustainable ideas.

Organized to introduce students to AI-powered digital marketing, the event combined a hands-on workshop with DIGI-MARKATHON, enabling participants to apply AI tools in content creation, campaign design, SEO, and analytics while fostering creativity, teamwork, and innovation.

Push to Prod: CI/CD & Cloud Automation Workshop
Organized in collaboration with Aivar Innovations, the workshop introduced students to CI/CD pipelines, cloud automation, and modern DevOps practices through hands-on sessions and real-world industry insights. With 72 participants, the event enhanced practical knowledge of production-ready software deployment and cloud technologies.
Alumni Connect: Next-Gen Builders: Agentic AI & AI-Assisted Coding Workshop
Organized to introduce students to Agentic AI and AI-assisted software development, the hands-on workshop provided practical exposure to AI agents, workflow automation, n8n, and Lovable AI. Participants explored modern AI tools for building intelligent applications, automating workflows, and accelerating software development through real-world demonstrations and interactive sessions
Careers in Data: Roles, Skills, Tools & Opportunities
Organized as part of the Alumni Series Connect #04, the workshop introduced students to career opportunities in the data domain, covering roles such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, and Business Analyst. Through alumni interactions and industry insights, participants gained practical guidance on essential skills, tools, career preparation, resume building, and emerging opportunities in the data industry
