B.Tech Chemical Engineering: Our Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO 1
Industrial Expertise and Equipment Innovation Our primary goal is to produce graduates who possess a deep-seated understanding of chemical processes and the mechanics of industrial-scale equipment. We want our alumni to be the ones who can look at a complex chemical plant and not only understand how it works but also know how to design, optimize, and evolve the systems that keep it running safely and efficiently.
PEO 2
Proficiency in Research, Data, and Specialized Tools We prepare our students to be effective researchers who can bridge the gap between the lab and the simulation. By the time they graduate, they should be comfortable using a diverse toolkit—ranging from hands-on experimental techniques and rigorous mathematical modeling to the latest specialized software—to tackle the many "R&D" challenges that define modern chemical engineering.
PEO 3
Agility in a Changing Industry and Global Responsibility The chemical industry is evolving faster than ever, particularly with the push for sustainability. We aim to foster a mindset of continuous learning, ensuring our graduates can adapt to new technologies as they emerge. Beyond their technical skills, we expect them to be socially conscious professionals who use their expertise to drive economic growth while always prioritizing ethical, sustainable practices on a global scale.
Programme Outcomes (POs)
The Department of Chemical Engineering provides a rigorous academic framework designed to mold students into versatile professionals capable of transforming raw materials into sustainable high-value products. Our curriculum emphasizes a deep understanding of transport phenomena, thermodynamics, and reaction kinetics, ensuring that graduates can navigate the complexities of large-scale chemical processing. By integrating core scientific principles with modern computational tools and safety standards, we prepare our engineers to lead innovations in energy, pharmaceuticals, and environmental management.
Programme Specific Outcomes (POs)
Graduates of the Chemical Engineering program will possess the technical expertise to design, optimize, and manage complex chemical processes while ensuring maximum resource efficiency and environmental safety. They will be proficient in utilizing modern simulation tools and analytical techniques to solve intricate problems in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mass transfer across diverse industrial sectors. By integrating core engineering principles with sustainable practices, our graduates are prepared to innovate in the development of high-value materials and clean energy solutions to meet global demands.
