Involvement of Civil Engineering faculty in Coimbatore Smart City Project
Civil Engineering faculty Dr. S. Shanmugam and Prof. J. Cyril Santhosh involved in framing an effective traffic engineering solution at SITRA signal and provided their technical expertise to Er. Senthil Valavan, Coimbatore International Airport Director and Mr. Senthil Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City for better traffic management in SITRA signal.
Black spot Survey carried out for accident spots in Coimbatore district by Dr. S. Shanmugam and Prof. J. Cyril Santhosh along with police officials headed by Mr. Sujith Kumar I.P.S, Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore District. A detailed report was given to the Police department and action was taken based on the report in the corresponding blackspots to reduce the accidents.
