On March 21st, 2023, the students from Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Abinandhan.R, Akshay Kumar.K, Gowsika.S, Sujay Sarvesh.R.R, Sudharshana.B at Coimbatore Institute of Technology undertook a social responsibility initiative to teach middle school students in a rural area Government Higher Secondary School in Mulanur, Tiruppur about programming. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the students to the world of programming and ignite their interest in STEM fields by teaching them Arduino programming.
A team representing the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, led by Abinandhan.R went to revisit Mulanur, Government Higher Secondary School, to have a check up on the progress of the students of class 9 after the first visit in which they were subjected to a workshop on Arduino and basic robotics.
