Academic background

I was jointed as a Lecturer at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore in 2001. Presently I am working as Associate Professor in Civil Engineering Department. I have 22 years Teaching Experience in Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore and Two and Half Experience in Industry.

My research area includes, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management and Engineering Survey. So far, one Research scholar completed his Ph.D Degree under my guidance and now I am guiding to four Research scholars in Civil Engineering. I have published 55 research papers in International Journals, National Journals and Conferences. I have memberships in Institution of Engineers, Institution of Valuers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institution of Geotechnical Engineering Association and Professional Engineering Forum. I am one of the Peer Reviewer in Editorial Board, American Journal of Civil Engineering, Science Publishing Group. I have organized one International Conference and one workshop.  I was acted Invited Speakers in Dr. NGP Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, and TWARD Board, Sub Training Center, Coimbatore.  I have published one Research Book with title “Influence of Infill and Slab on 2D and 3D RC Frames for Seismic Resistance” LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing AG & Co. KG Saarbrücken, Dudweiler Landstraße 99, 66123 Saarbrücken, Germany, 2010. I have written one research chapter with title “Effect of Reinforcement and Cavity on Compressive Strength of Brick Masonry’ Advanced Engineering Research and Application Book, Chapter – 26, pp-266-283, 2018. I have received seven awards. Also I have attended several FDPs / Wokshops / Seminors / Short Term Programs

Dr.S.Arulselvan obtained his doctoral degree in Civil Engineering from Anna University, Chennai .

He did his master degree in Structural Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, December 2000,
