Dr.R.Saraswathi is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India. She lectures on the subjects Principle of Environmental Science and Engineering and Pollution and Control Engineering at the under graduate level and Principles of Sustainable development, Separation Processes, Environmental Impact Assessment, Ecology and Ecosystem Management and Design of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.

Dr.R.Saraswathi did her under graduate studies in Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and obtained her B.E. Degree in Civil Engineering from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in the year 1999. She did her Post Graduation in Environmental Engineering, in Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and obtained her Masters Degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in 2000. She has completed her Ph.D in Environmental Engineering on May 2013. Highly interested in the field of Bioremediation of wastewater and pursuing research on Studies on Bioremediation and Optimization of physio chemical parameters of paper and pulp waste under Anna University Chennai.

Dr.R.Saraswathi has teaching experience at under graduate level in Avinashilingam Deemed University from 2001 to 2005. She joined in July 2001 as Lecturer and taught subjects like Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Air Pollution and Control, Water Supply Engineering, Wastewater Engineering and relieved from her duties on July 2005.

Dr.R.Saraswathi has 10 years of teaching experience at under graduate level and 6 years at post graduate level. She joined in Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore in August 2005 as Lecturer. From June 2010 she is working as Assistant Professor.

Dr.R.Saraswathi is a Life Member in Indian Society for Technical Education. She was Time Table Coordinator for the department from 2010 onwards.
