Mr. M. Velliangiri, Mechanical Engineering Department, CIT obtained his Master’s degree in Heat Power Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering & Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) from Coimbatore Institute of Technology (Anna University). He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in the area of ethanol direct injection high compression ignition engine. He has 20 years of experience exclusively in all mechanical maintenance works related to thermal equipment's, Marine power & auxiliary equipment's. Also he has 18 years hands-on experience in Commissioning, Erection, Operation, maintenance, overhauling, Fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting of large capacity Diesel Engines. All Rotating & static equipment's (Install, align, assemble or dismantle, troubleshoot, examine, maintain, adjust and repair or replace defective parts of power transmission, pneumatic systems, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, Compressors ,fans, tanks, conveyors, all types of Valves , using hand and power and other general mechanical maintenance works. He has developed an experimental setup to carry out advanced experiments in a Two-stroke Electronic Injected Spark ignited Engine. In his research work, ethanol direct injection high compression ignition and spark ignition engines. He has published five international journals and 4 international conferences. He has presented a paper in ASME Conference, Montreal, Canada in November 2014. He has conducted 11 programmes at CIT which includes 2 international conferences, 3 FDPs.
