He completed his M.E. in Manufacturing Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, and his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from S.S.M. College of Engineering, Namakkal. His research work primarily focuses on advanced welding techniques, including Friction Stir Welding, Friction Surfacing, and Dissimilar Metal Joining, with an emphasis on material characterization and optimization of processing parameters. Dr. Karthikeyan has contributed significantly to the fields of additive manufacturing and material joining, with several publications in reputed international journals such as Materials Letters and Materials Research Express.
