Academic background

G.Sivakumar is currently working as Associate Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. 
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from Jayam College of Engineering and Technology, Nallanur and Master of Engineering (M.E) in Advanced Manufacturing Technology at CIT Coimbatore. He completed his Ph.D under Anna University Chennai in the year 2018.
He has filled two Indian Patent and two International patents and one Indian patent was granted. He has published a number of technical papers in Journals, Book chapters, International and national conferences in the area of additive manufacturing.

Research Interest

His current research work is focused to overcome the current manufacturing complexities involved in healthcare industry and is projected towards identifying a suitable product requiring innovative manufacturing technique.
