Academic background
Dr D P Sam Solomon completed his Bachelors degree in the stream of Mechanical Engineering at CIT (2007), Master’s degree in the stream of Heat Power Engineering at CIT (2013) and Doctoral degree from Anna University in 2022. Dr D P Sam Solomon is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India. Dr D P Sam Solomon holds work experience as a Lecturer in Maharaja Institute of Technology. Prior to his career in engineering college, Dr D P Sam Solomon worked as a Program Analyst Trainee in Cognizant Technology Solutions. Dr D P Sam Solomon was awarded with the following awards: i. “Best Faculty Award” on the basis of Good Academic Performance Indicator for the year 2018 ii. “Best Faculty Award” on the basis of Good Academic Performance Indicator for the year 2019 iii. “Dr S R N Sastry Endowment Award – Best Young Faculty Award” on the basis of Good Academic Performance Indicator for the year 2018 iv. Received a grant of Rs. 20,000 /- for the conduct of National Level Workshop for students on POWER PLANT ENGINEERING from TNSCST under Partial Assistance to conduct workshops/FDPs/Conferences Scheme in 2020. iii. Completed a project on “COMPUTATIONAL AND EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF FLOW PATTERNS IN CHANNELS USING DYE VISUALIZATION” funded by TNSCST under Students Project Scheme 2018. (Sanctioned Amount – Rs.7500 /-). iv.
