Academic background
Assistant Professor Dr. C. Balaji Ayyanar, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Biopolymer Composites) in 2021 from Anna University (Coimbatore Institute of Technology). He completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Computer Aided Design) in 2008 from Anna University (Government College of Engineering, Salem) and his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 from Anna University (S. R. M. Engineering College, Chennai).
Dr. C. Balaji Ayyanar has 13 years and 10 months of teaching experience, having served as a Lecturer at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, Erode – 638 401, and as an Assistant Professor at Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr. R.R. & Dr. S.R. Engineering College, Avadi, Chennai – 600 062. He also has 3 years of research and development experience at the Combat Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Avadi, Chennai – 600 054.
His research and development experience includes modeling, analysis, and advanced research in Advanced Chassis and Automotive Systems (ACAS), later renamed as MBT, at CVRDE, DRDO. His areas of specialization include Computer Aided Design, preparation of manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD, modeling using Pro-E, and analysis of machine elements using Finite Element Methods (FEM). As an academician, Dr. C. Balaji Ayyanar has made significant contributions to both industry and academia. His achievements include 30 publications in international journals, 7 book chapters, 25 papers presented at international and national conferences, 7 granted design patents, 3 filed patents, and authorship of 2 books.
