Dr. A. Thangarasu

Academic background

Dr. A.Thangarasu is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering since September 2020, at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. He started his career as a Lecturer and he served as a teaching faculty in other institutions since 1998.

Dr. A.Thangarasu, obtained his Ph.D. in Faculty of Technology (Friction Stir Processing of Aluminium surface composites) from Anna University, Chennai in 2016. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Production Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Institute of Road and Transport Technology, Erode in 1998.

His contribution includes 10 papers in International peer reviewed Journals and 5 papers in International Conferences. He is an authorized supervisor of Anna University, Chennai. He has attended many conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops and short term courses at National level. He is a Life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and also Life member of Indian Welding Society (IWS).
