Swachh Bharat Club
The Swachh Bharat Club at CIT is a student-led initiative dedicated to upholding the national ideals of cleanliness and environmental sustainability. It fosters a sense of civic duty, encouraging students to take ownership of their surroundings through proactive involvement in waste management and hygiene. The club serves as a bridge between the campus and the community, spreading awareness about the long-term benefits of an eco-friendly lifestyle. Through collective action, members work toward creating a healthier, greener planet for future generations.
Vision
To establish a sustainable and ecologically conscious campus environment that serves as a benchmark for environmental responsibility and civic discipline in society.
Mission
To mobilize the student body toward active environmental stewardship through systematic cleanliness drives, innovative waste management, and community-wide hygiene education.
What We Do
Operating in alignment with the national mission, our club is the guardian of the CIT ecosystem. We lead comprehensive "Green Campus" initiatives, including organic waste composting, plastic-elimination audits, and water conservation awareness. Beyond our walls, we adopt local schools and neighborhoods to conduct "Street-Side Education" on sanitation and hygiene. We organize large-scale cleanliness marathons (Plog-runs) where students combine fitness with community service, instilling a deep-rooted sense of responsibility toward the planet.
