Awards

Sibi Bose and Sai Adarsh of II Year M.Sc. Software Systems represented team Appendly at the HCL Madurai Hackathon conducted by HCL Technologies and GUVI Geek Networks. Their project “Solid Waste Segregation using Image Processing powered by Convolutional Neural Networks and IoT” has placed first with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a 4-week internship program at HCL Technologies.

Signed MoU with NIT, Tiruchirapalli – Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (NIT-CEDI) for promoting Entrepreneurial and innovation culture at various levels and to provide incubation support system for startup activities on July 5, 2023.

Signed MoU with TamilNadu Technology (iTNT) Hub to establish a collaborative partnership between iTNT and Institution relating to the Institution’s participation in the Innovation Network

Startups started by E-Cell Students of CIT from 2015 onwards

With the mission of “Democratizing AI,” Mr. Subash S. and the AIML branch team just founded the startup “SAYVAI” and are awaiting official government recognition in the campus.

With the mission of product development that is beneficial to the society mechanical students and EEE students has developed a Low cost Electric Vehicle for girl children in Rural India. The mechanical design and development such as chassis design, suspension system, brake and transmission system has been led by Mr. Vikram and team. The Electrical design such as selection of motor, battery and other electrical accessories has been led by Mr. Harirajan and team, Mr. Gokulavasan and team, Mr Grikshith and team and Ms. Nasiha and team. The developed multi-seater vehicle cost around two lakhs with the idea of wealth out of waste. Now the students are intending the vehicle to market.
