About
Department of Computing: Advancing Decision-Centered Technologies
Established in 1988, at a time when information technology was beginning to reshape the world, the Department of Computing at CIT has continually adapted its academic direction to future needs. Early on, the department identified that the true value of computing lies not only in software development, but in enabling intelligent, data-informed decisions. This vision led to the introduction of the five-year Integrated M.Sc. in Decision and Computing Sciences, a flagship programme that brings together computational techniques and decision science to address complex, real-world challenges.
The Integrated M.Sc. in Decision and Computing Sciences is designed for students who aspire to excel in analytical reasoning and strategic problem-solving. By combining computational models, business intelligence systems, and decision-making frameworks, the programme prepares graduates to operate effectively in environments where technical insight and informed judgment are equally critical.
Students gain the ability to evaluate alternatives, optimize outcomes, and design intelligent systems that support data-backed decision processes across industries.
