I am an aspiring teacher with strong technical and explanatory skills in Civil Engineering, aiming to foster real-world engagement in my students through student-centric learning methodologies. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Anna University, Chennai, focusing on “Cost-effective housing construction for low-income people” and the manufacture of Interlocking Compressed Earth blocks. 11 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at Coimbatore Institute of Technology since July,2012. I have delivered a module in Swayam NPTEL course on Structural Engineering (MOOC) on the topic of Project Planning. Additionally, I received a 1.25 Lakhs Research Project Fund from CIT Management under SEED Money Scheme in Aug 2020 and conducted Quality Checks for NPTEL-MOOC courses in Tamil Translation for Civil Engineering subjects (2020-2021).
My research interests include Low-Cost Building Materials, Sustainable Construction Techniques, and Sustainable Engineering. I have published 6 research papers in various journals and conferences. As a mentor, I have guided 9 PG scholars and am currently guiding 2 others. Moreover, I have delivered invited lectures on several topics related to Civil Engineering. Apart from my teaching and research pursuits, I have actively participated in workshops and short-term courses, developing a versatile skill set that includes proficiency in various Civil Engineering software applications. I have also organized workshops and attended seminars, enhancing my knowledge in the field. My proficiency in software applications for Civil Engineering complements my academic accomplishments.
